Well, Calder Racecourse will close its doors for the season on Friday and Saturday, Gulfstream Park opens theirs!

The $100,000 Spectacular Bid Stakes will be Race# 9 at 4:33 p.m., for 2yo’s, going 6 Furlongs out on the Gulfstream dirt to open the stakes and graded stakes racing season here!

8, 2yo’s will come out for this opening day stakes as Gulfstream winds its way through this winter/spring meet that will culminate in next April’s Florida Derby!

The names to look for in here are Vexor, the lone G/S winner in this field, Luke of York and For Oby, both stakes winners.
