Imperative strikes again with sloppy GII Charles Town Classic win – Results and Replay

Imperative, found that lightning does strike twice in the same place as the 2014 Charles Town Classic winner found the finish line first (by a neck) again in this year’s sloppy track edition of the $1.25 Million, GII Charles Town Classic Stakes at Charles Town Races today.

N.Y. invader Matt King Coal, was a very game 2nd but did battled hard all the way down the home stretch, 3rd went an equally game War Story, witBodhisattva, coming from the back of the pack to fill out today’s superfecta!

Race favorite Stanford, faded to an off the board and tired looking fifth finish after slugging it out in the slop with 80/1 shot Cautious Giant, on the front end in the early stages!
