Multiple GI winner Princess of Sylmar , will take on 5 older Filles and Mares this Saturday’s as a heavy 1/1 favorite in the $750,000, GI Delaware Hcp, for 4yo and up fillies and mares, at 1 1/4 mile over the DelPark main track.
Molly Morgan, at 3/1, is coming off a big score in the GII Fleur de Lis Handicap at Churchill by whipping the likes of Flashy American, Fiftyshadesofhay and On Fire Baby by 4 full lengths in her most recent outing. She is in the best form of her career right now and would seem to be the main obstacle to Princess of Sylmar win here this Saturday. No early speed type here as she’s a late mover!
Flashy American, at 7/2, 2nd in that same GII Fleur de Lis Handicap, last time out and 2 back she won the GIII Sixty Sails Hcp at Hawthorne. Lots of graded experience here but alas no early speed here either.
Gamay Noir, at 10/1, winner of the GIII Obeah Stakes here last out and has 2 wins and a 3rd in 3 straight GIII appearances. This one closes late when she running well but has never tried this 1 1/4 distance before!
Bryan’s Jewel, at 15/1,was the winner of the 2013 GIII Obeah Stakes here at DelPark but hasn’t found the Winner’s Circle since and of late has but a pair of 3rd’s in 2 minor DelPark stakes outings this season. She is mostly a closer type, so look for an early pace setter elsewhere!
Belle Gallantey , at 10/1,5th most recently in the that same GI Ogden Philips as Princess of Sylmar last out but was only a 1 3/4 length off Close Hatches there. She seems to do her best running stalking the early pace and might be the early pacesetter here by simple default.
