BC_Challenge_Logo  This race will also double as a “Win and You’re In” contest for this year’s GI Breeders’ Cup Classic tussle on Nov 1st, again, at Santa Anita Park!

Game On Dude, at 4/5, was a flagging 2nd most recently in the GII Charles Town Classic as he could not hold off Imperative, in that short Charles town stretch, but 2 back ran a monster 1:58 flat to win the 1 1/4 mile GI S/A Hcp over Will Take Charge.

He had a spotty record here over his last several S/A outings but has done the bulk of his GI winning right here. Needs the Lead to be effective otherwise falters, it seems!

Imperative, at 4/1, won that same $1.5 million GII Charles Town Classic over Game On Dude, to stun the horse racing world as a 26/1 shot, as just back in Dec. he was running in claiming races. We’re still not sure he is for real yet as this race will be the test. Not an early front running type and has had no success at this distance!

Clubhouse Ride , at 9/2, has been looking at Game on Dude’s rear end in all their encounters thus far and we think Saturday will be no exception. He has won the GII California 2 years in a row now but seem hard press to find the board in any of his most recent graded outings. Closer type here when he does manage to vie at the end!

Fury Kapcori , also at 9/2, 2nd in that same GII California most recently but had won all his races this year here at Santa Anita before that. He was a 2yo buzz horse back in the day but was sidelined was injury for a good portion on 2013 before making this steady climb back to GI company. Loves to go fast early to set the early pace or be just off it and will give Game On Dude problems right from the gate, but can he stay this 1 1/4 mile distance?

Majestic Harbor , at 12/1, came 3rd in that same GII California last out coming on late to get up for the board hit and he did win the GIII Tokyo City 2 back covering that 1 1/2 mile in a nice enough 2:29! He has been a solid graded runner out here on the west coast since moving west and could grab a piece here if there is a big pace collapse here!

Salto Del Indio at 8/1 and Lideris at 20/1 are both making their US debuts here on Saturday as both are coming up from the South American group racing scene. Both have had their measures of Grp success down under and both should have no problem with the distance! We’re not sure that an American GI is the place we’d introduce either to American style racing first time out!
