The 2014 Derby Trail also winds it way down to the Fair Grounds this Saturday, for their final race of the 2014 KDCS season in the $1,000,000, GII Louisiana Derby, for 3yo’s, at 1 1/8 mile over the Fair Grounds main track and will be 2nd of 2 100-40-20-10 KDCS races this Saturday, with the other being the GI Besilu Stables Florida Derby at the Gulfstream Park!

Free Past Performances,

This year’s Probables are;

Intense Holiday, at 2/1, is the winner of the GII Risen Star here last out and already has enough Derby points for a gate in Derby #140.

Vicar’s In Trouble, at 4/1 is the winner of the GII Lecomte Stakes by a wide margin, was 3rd to Intense Holiday, here last out in GII Risen Star, needs more points to move on to Louisville on May 3rd!

In Trouble, winner of the GII Futurity Stakes at Belmont Park last fall and 3rd last out in the GIII Gotham Stakes right there with Samraat and Uncle Sigh at the line just 2 necks off the winner. A smart move here by the connections to get this one out of NYC!

Louies Flower, winner if the $250k Springboard Stakes at Remington Park 2 back, but was a distant 12th last out in the GIII Southwest Stakes.

Commanding Curve, was 6th in that same GII Risen Star stakes here last out!

Other possible runners includes,

Albano, 2nd in the GII Risen Star by just a neck, Gold Hawk, Rise Up, were 5th and 7th respectively in that same GII Risen Star last out and Kendall’s Boy!

We’d also expect another big field here at the Fair Grounds this Saturday as a sure fire 2014 Derby berth awaits the winner of this year’s $1,000,000, GII Louisiana Derby.
