The 2014 Derby Trail winds it way down to Gulfstream Park this Saturday, for their final race of the 2014 KDCS season in the $1,000,000, GI Besilu Stables Florida Derby, for 3yo’s, at 1 1/8 mile over the Gulfstream Park main track and will be 1 of 2 100-40-20-10 Derby Points races this Saturday, with the other being the GII Louisiana Derby at the Fair Grounds!

Free Past Performances,

This year’s Probables are;

Cairo Prince, winner of the GII Holy Bull Stakes, but needs derby points in here, period!

Wildcat Red, winner of the GII Fountain of Youth Stakes, already has a lock on a derby berth with that FOY win last out!

General A Rod, 2nd to Wildcat Red in both the G/P Derby and GII Fountain of Youth Stakes, here this year renews their rivalry, once again, here on Saturday. Needs more points, as well!

Constitution, winner of a big G/P Aoc last out and is another son of the very hot sire Tapit! Must have a top 2 finish to move on the Derby #140

 Spot, winner of the GII Swale Stakes last out with a big finishing burst, lets see how he handles 2-turns here on Saturday!

Matador, 5th in the GII Tampa Bay Derby, must improve quickly or watch Derby 140 from a south florida stall!

We’d expect to see a lot more top 3yo names in the Gulfstream Park gates this Saturday as who could pass up a chance at 100 Derby points, $600,000 and a GI title for the winner of this year’s GI Florida Derby.
