Will Take Charge , at 9/5, drew the #2 hole for Sunday’s $500,000, GI Donn Hcp., for 4yo’s and up, at 1 1/8 mile over the Gulfstream Park main track, as this 2013 3yo male Eclipse award winner is coming out for his highly anticipated first start of the 2014 season after just a stellar 2nd half of his 2013 campaign.

He’ll be facing “10” other top older horses here on Sunday in a big field of 11 on a busy graded Sunday card here at Gulfstream Park.

River Seven , at 4/1, is another Canadian invader, set the track record here last out for the 1 1/16 mile dirt distance at 1:41.73 taking the $100k Harlan’s Holiday Stakes with that record run here back on Dec 22nd by 4 lengths over Csaba!

Revolutionary , at 5/1, drew the #3 gate next store and is coming in off a very good effort in a Jan 11th Aoc tussle here, after a long layoff, going a mile in 1:35 flat, getting up late to gun down Falling Sky by 1/2 length at the line!

Romansh , at 6/1, you might remember won the GIII Discovery Stakes last Nov. at Aqueduct by more than 9 lengths covering that 1 1/8 mile distance in a solid 1:48.1. He was in the early mix of both the GI Travers and GII P.A. Derby before fading off the board both races were won by Will Take Charge too!

Uncaptured , at 10/1, comes out for trainer Mark Casse did seem to be everywhere in 2013 winning the $500,000, Prince of Wales Stakes at Fort Erie Park in Canada’s 2nd leg of its Triple Crown series! He also finished 4th in the GIII Hal Hope Stakes here at Gulfstream last out with a mild late effort just missing the board by just a neck!

Lea , at 10/1, showed some top dirt form here last out in that same GIII Hal’s Hope Stakes with a good late run for the win by 3 1/4 lengths over the irrepressible Jackson Bend! He’s been mostly a turf horse over his career but of late has shown dirt is no problem for him either!

Bourbon Courage , at 10/1, was 4th in that same GI Clark Hcp 2 back and was 3rd last out in that same $100k Harlan’s Holiday Stakes. Graded winner and does close well enough to at least find a home on the board or the super in almost all his lifetime outing!

Viramundo , at 15/1, 3rd to Revolutionary, by 1 1/2 length last out in that same $100k 3x Aoc one mile tilt and was rallying nicely late, too!

Neck ‘n Neck , at 20/1, who is a multiple graded winner came 3rd last out in that same Hal’s Hope Stakes and 4th, 2 back in the $100k Harlan’s Holiday Stakes so he knows this strip well!

Joshua’s Comprise ,  at 30/1, runs in all things big here in south florida to no real avail most times but he did finish 2nd last out in the Sunshine Millions Classic here but was back those 14 lengths to Mucho Macho Man in a true picking up the pieces board hit!

Macho Bull , at 30/1, has very limited graded experience and is for the most part a so/so alw runner. He’s way out of his class here and will deserve some very big post time odds here on Sunday!

So, a top group of handicap division horses will make this $500,000, GI Donn Hcp. well worth tuning in on this first NFL-less Sunday of 2014!
