Flat Out, returned to his NYC winning ways today with a late on the scene 1 1/4 length win in the $500,000, GI Cigar Mile, for 3yo’s and up, at just a mile over a “fast” Aqueduct main this afternoon.

2013 GI Vosburgh winner Private Zone, took the runner-up spot back about 1 1/4 length after surrendering a mid-stretch lead, back 2 lengths more was the 2013 GI Haskell winner Verrazano, who came 3rd after an ill-adviced far turn early move with this year’s B/C Ladies Sprint champion Groupie Doll, was back about a neck further filling out today’s super spot as she was bottled up inside in the upper stretch before she hit her best stride!
